The building's structure consists of two blocks, shifted in relation to each other, attached along one edge to the gable walls of existing tenement houses. The blocks are connected by a perpendicular link. This solution provides an optimal arrangement of rooms due to the difficult location and their proper illumination. The part of the building adjacent to the southern wall contains a group of specialized therapeutic and diagnostic rooms with limited accessibility. The northern part consists of functional teams for medical clinics, as well as departments of: oncological surgery and radiotherapy, and lecture halls. The diagnostic block is distinguished by horizontal windows with dense division of external blinds that filter light. In the patient area, vertical windows are used to introduce more light, influencing the atmosphere of the rooms. The facade features ceramic elements that refer to the brick architecture of the maternity hospital.
